Ysrcp ex sarpanch wounded in an attack of rivals

Kovelakunta (Nandyal district): The Listhsh Reddy Sarpanch Sarpanch Saddy was attacked by a group of 15 people allegedly connected with TDP in the village of Kampamala in Kovelakuntla Mandal late on Wednesday evening. The attackers, armed with knives, iron bars and sticks, attacked Reddy, leaving it in critical condition.

The attack took place late at night on Wednesday, when the crowd attacked the house of Lokesh Reddy. They destroyed furniture, broke the door and destroyed household items, including television.

The situation escalated when the attackers attacked Father Loksh Reddy, Venkatars Redda, who slept in front of the house. He was seriously beaten with iron bars. The younger brother of Listhish, Venkateshwar Redda, was also attacked when he left the house.

After hearing the attack on his home, Reddy returned, but the group was planted. Fearing for his life, he tried to escape to nearby fields, but the attackers ran him and beat him with iron bars and pipes. The attack lasted almost an hour.

After notifying, the local police threw themselves at the place. The sound of the police siren meant that the attackers believed that Listhish Reddy would hurt him, which prompted them to escape from the stage.

Listh Reddy was found in a pool of blood and the police were immediately transferred to the Kovelakuntla government hospital. Due to the heaviness of injuries, he was later transferred to a private hospital in Nandyyal, where he currently receives treatment. His condition remains critical.

Local residents believe that the attack was the result of political and territorial disputes between land in the village.

Police Kovelakuntla began investigating the incident after submitting the case in accordance with the relevant sections. Further details are expected.
