One dead after a shooting from Elbert in Elbert

Elbert County, Colo. (KKTV) – According to Elbert’s Sheriff’s Office, one person does not live after the shooting on Wednesday evening.

The deputies reportedly responded to the call to physical violence 911 around 18:30 and found a suspect in a trailer on 5 wheels.

According to MPs, the suspect was armed with a pistol and refused to hear requests to postpone the weapon.

MPs reportedly hit him with less deadly rounds before he returned to the trailer.

The negotiators made contact with him, and the MPs said that the suspect stated that his back was less fatal rounds.

MPs said that the suspect refused to quietly leave the trailer, and then the SWAT team of Elbert was then activated.

MPs said that rounds about a small pepper ball were shot through the window and door of the trailer.

The suspect then fired at least two rounds outside, to which they reportedly shot the fire around 21:40

Law enforcement agencies tried contact with the suspect for about an hour.

Two separate drones were sent to the trailer through the window, and the operators reportedly saw the suspect lying motionless in the trailer.

According to the deputies, SWAT entered the trailer and found a suspect dead inside.

The critical incident response team (CIRT) of the 23rd judicial district is investigating this incident, and the deputies involved are reportedly on administrative leave on the policy.

MPs said that the name of the suspect will not be released at the moment.
