Identified human body found in the Greenbrier River

Greenbrier County, W.VA. (WVVA) – a man whose body was found on Wednesday in the Greenbrier River was identified and no foul was suspected at that time.

Sheriff of Greenbrier Bart Baker said that the victim is the 43 -year -old Shawn Carter from Union in Monroe.

The officers were sent to the area near Second Creek at

MPs together with the members of the fire brigade Ronceverte were able to recover the victim from the river. A vehicle belonging to the victim was found nearby.

Members of the Sheriff Sheriff Team Greenbrier converted this area. Baker said that no game foul was suspected at the moment, but it is still an ongoing investigation. SGT MT DOSS from Sheriff’s office is the main investigator.

Sheriff’s office was supported by Ronceverte PD, Ronceverte VFD, Alderson EMS and West Virginia police.
