Oliver Miller, a 9-year-old NBA veteran, dies at the age of 54

A former NBA player and outstanding University of Arkansas, Oliver Miller, died at the age of 54.

6-9 Power Forward and Center fought cancer and treatment in Phoenix. The Suns with the National Basketball Emerid Player Association, confirmed Miller’s death on Wednesday.

Suns coach Mike Budenholzer, talking to the media before Wednesday match in HoustonHe said he had learned Miller’s death earlier on the same day and offered his condolences to Miller’s family.

“Growing up in Arizona, observing these teams, from the late 1980s, the early 90s” Budenholzer said. “What an amazing passerby, amazing player, you know … He seemed to be a guy who loved his teammates, brought joy, brought joy.”
