Fire at Connaught Place Restaurant leaves six wounded – Print – PTIFEED

New Delhi, 13 March (PTI) crashed here at the Bikkgane Biryani restaurant in Connaught Place on Thursday morning, hurting six people with serious burn injuries, said the official Delhi Fire Services (DFS).

DFS sent six fire tenders after receiving a warning around 11:55. The official said, however, that the fire has not yet been controlled.

The fire broke out in the kitchen of the restaurant due to the LPG cylinder leakage.

The official added that they were injured to the RML hospital for treatment.

Among the wounded Mahindra (25), he suffered 81 % burn injuries, while both Deepak (39) and Piyush (31) suffered 70 percent of burns. The rest, MD Alam (21), SaiRuddhin (28) and Janak (26), suffered no more than 30 percent of burns, said the official.

According to the initial reports, the fire began because of the LPG leak in the kitchen, which quickly ignited and spread. Employees and customers were evacuated when firefighters worked on containing flames.

The police also reached the place.
