The Governor Kebbi promises quick resettlement for the victims of the Lakurawa attack

The Governor of the State Kebbi, Dr. Nasir Idris, assured the victims of the last Lakurawa attacks in Awa Local Government, that his administration would take quick action to transfer them in his communities.

Idris took this oath on Wednesday during a condolence visit to the internally resettled camp (IDP) to Kanga, where he expressed deep sadness because of the loss of life and property. Currently, the camp shelter residents displaced from Birnin Debe, Dan Marke and Tambo – Villags, whose purpose of armed attackers last Saturday in the attack, in which 11 people were killed and one settlement equated.

A statement issued by a special media and advertising governor, Yahaya Sark, emphasized that Idris’s visit was aimed at victim consoles and assessing the first -hand situation to inform the government.

The governor praised security agencies for their efforts in the scope of crisis, but raised concerns about the frequency of invasion from the neighboring state of Sokoto and the Republic of Niger.

“To support resettled people, I announced immediate delivery of 100 additional bags from Rice and Proso, along with a cow, which is to be killed to maintain every four to five days,” said Idris.

He also praised the chairman of the local Arewa authorities for the quick setting of the IDP camp as recommended.
