TShowan identifies abandoned buildings to refer to social housing

Johannesburg – in order to solve the influx of “economic migrants” to the capital, the city of Tshowan Municipality Municipality said that it identified ten abandoned buildings in the city center to refer to social housing.

The municipality has a housing crisis with the latest dates of the universal census showing that the city has the largest number of homeless people.

TShowan MMC for Aaron Malulka’s apartment said that many people living in abandoned buildings in the city center want to be closer to the possibility of work.

Maluleka added that the city was necessary to transfer its social apartments near the city center.

“We have a flagship project called Townlands next to MaBastad, in which we accommodated people earning from 3,500 to R11 000 R, and this project taught us many lessons that there are many people that we should home. We still have buildings that we have identified, and we intend to relate, and should accommodate people who are economical migrants who come to the city and want space. “
