Aberdeen Road opens again after two women seriously injured in an accident taken to hospital

The road in Aberdeen was again opened after two women were taken to a hospital with serious injuries after the accident.

The emergency services were called to B979, between Fintry and Blackburn, around 14.40 on Wednesday after a collision with the participation of Black Vauxhall Mokka and Czarna Corsa Vauxhall.

Drivers of both cars, both women, aged 42 and 53, were taken to the royal hospital in Aberdeen.

Their conditions were described as serious.

The police said that the road was closed for about seven hours to allow investigations and re -opening around 22:00 on Wednesday.

Sergeant Peter Henderson said: “The investigation is underway and I appeal to all road users who were in the area during the incident to contact us.

“You may have passed or saw one of the vehicles before the collision. If you have Cam Cam, it can capture images that can help in our current asking. “
