HPD says that the suspect opens fire in officers after theft, robbing a gas station in NW Harris

Harris County, Texas (KTRK) – According to the officers, the man is in custody on Sunday morning after the alleged committing two violent deeds within a few minutes from himself in NW Harris, before he started shooting with police officers in Houston.

The Department of Police in Houston said around 3am; The officers responded to the 9200 Richmond block after three women were stolen by the suspect, described by the police as a black man aged 30.

Officials said 12 minutes later, the suspect reportedly came to 2,700 Westerland and robbed a grocery store in the crosshairs from escaping.

No injuries were reported by the police.

HPD said that the officers began to follow a car that matched the description of the stolen vehicle and located a man who entered Easton Commons.

The suspect got out of the vehicle after the detention point and began to run before opening the fire of officers who failed to cover, but returned fire, hitting the suspect, said HPD.

The suspect was taken to hospital. No officers were injured.

Officials said that many fees are expected, and the recordings from the body camera will be released for 30 days for the protocol.
