Double Murder Rocks Greenwood – Jamaica Observer

St James, Jamaica – a Canadian man and a woman were shot and killed during a home invasion in the ST James community in Greenwood on Thursday evening.

The deceased was identified as 61-year-old Clayton Cooke from Casci Avenue in Toronto, Canada and 37-year-old Gem Cooke, a Tortuga Drive cashier in Greenwood.

Police reports say that around 20:10 these two people were at their home on Tortuga Drive, when they were thrown by unknown attackers who opened their shootout.

The heater then escaped in the expected engine.

The police were then called by residents who heard explosions, and after their arrival Clayton was found falling on the gate, while the woman lay down.

They both were taken to the hospital, where they were recognized as dead.

Detectives assigned to the criminal department of St. Jakub continue to investigate in this matter.
