Browning Man sentenced to prison for burning a woman with a hot knife

Browning the man was sentenced to three years, five months in prison of the federal on Wednesday, for burning a woman on her hand with a hot knife on Valentine’s Day 2024.

32 -year -old Dale Ray Racine pleaded guilty in September 2024 to assault a dangerous weapon.

According to court documents, Racine Piła early morning hours, when he put a knife on a wood stove until he was red and burned it with the victim.

The victim announced that Racine was trying to mark her neck, but she raised her hand to stop him and her hand was burned.

The victim suffered a second degree burns.

Racine was released from the federal prison a month earlier, on an assault he committed in 2021. In this incident Racine repeatedly hit a man on a metal pipe.

Browning, a man who confessed to burning a woman in his hand with a hot knife in a residence in the Blackfeet Indian reserve, was sentenced to three years and five months in prison, and then three years of supervised dismissal, US prosecutor Jesse Laslovich said.

The accused, 32 -year -old Dale Ray Racine, pleaded guilty in September 2024 to assault a dangerous weapon.

USA main regional judge Brian M. Morris presided over.

The government claimed in court documents that in the early morning February 14, 2024, Racine Piła at the residence in Browning. Victim, Jane Doe, was also present. At some point, Racine put a knife in a wood furnace until it was hot in red. Racine removed the knife from the fire and burned with him. Doe reported to law enforcement agencies and medical service providers that Racine is trying to mark his neck. Doe raised her hand to stop Branding, at which moment Racine burned her hand. Doe was treated due to second degree burns in the hand. Racine committed an assault a month after his release from the federal prison and during supervision for the assault he committed in 2021, in which he repeatedly hit a man on his head with a metal pipe.

The US prosecutor’s office was chasing the case. Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services and FBI, with the help of the US Marshals Service, examined the case.
