The woman confirmed the dead after she was not reacting to the piece in Bamber Bridge

Police spokesman said: “We allowed us at 13.31 to The Withy Arms, Station Road, Bamber Bridge, to the report that the woman was not reacting.

“They participated in the emergency services, but unfortunately a woman – after the age of 50 – was recognized as deceased at the scene.

“Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this disturbing time.”

Pub Withy ARMS confirmed that today they will not be opened again, but they intend to open tomorrow (January 29).
