Suspected associated with the identified shooting

Grand Junction, Colo. (KJCT) – The Sheriff’s Office of Mesa (MCSO) published an update regarding the incident that took place in mid -January.

On the last Sunday of January 19, the Police Department of the Grand Junction and MCSO responded to an assault in which one person caused life -threatening injuries.

The suspect fired a weapon in corresponding officers. The officers returned fire and discovered the suspect who died a few hours later.

21. The team of responding to the critical incidents of the court district identified the suspect as 46-year-old Aaron Blount of the Grand Junction. The cause of the death, determined by the coroner’s office, was a gunshot wound on the torso.

The incident remains in the study, no further information is available at the moment.
