The victim of a fatal crash in Sumter County has been identified

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – The coroner’s office says one person is dead this morning in a single-vehicle crash in Sumter County.

The coroner’s office identified the victim as 22-year-old Meagan Hudson of Sumter County.

The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. at Pinewood and Wedgefield Road.

Hudson was taken to hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

An autopsy will be performed Tuesday at the University of Charleston School of Medicine.

The Sumter County Coroner’s Office and Sumter Police are investigating this case.
