Tonto Dikeh is warning Nigerians about a new fraud method being used by fraudsters

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has alerted the public about a new scam method being used by some unscrupulous Nigerians to scam the unsuspecting masses of their hard-earned money.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, she described how fraudulent Nigerians play up and perpetrate this act.

Revealing the new method, the actress revealed that people who want to use it publicly approach their victim crying, lamenting and accusing them of making a fake transfer for the allegedly purchased item.

She explained that by committing this act, the perpetrators would cause a crowd to gather and then tensions would increase, which would put pressure on the target to either pay up or risk facing jungle justice.

The actress therefore appealed to the public to remain vigilant and safe “because it’s wild outside.” Tonto wrote,

Note: Someone may come up to you in a public place, cry and wail, accusing you of making a fraudulent transfer for something you supposedly bought. A crowd gathers, tensions rise, and you must either pay up or rush to face justice in the jungle.

Now imagine the embarrassment, wasted time, potential loss of property, and even harm before any help arrives.

Stay alert and stay safe as things are wild outside right now.

It is not unusual for Nigerian celebrities to warn the public about the activities and latest practices of scammers.

Yoruba actress, Ronke Oshodi Oke in this role has alerted the public about a new method of highway robberies.

Sharing a video of a man narrating how he was almost robbed on the highway and the strategy the robbers used, the actress advised the public to be wary of any strange behavior on the highway.
